NOMINATIONS
The Vilas Neighborhood Association is led by an eight-member council with two-year terms, half the members being elected each year. An election is coming up soon, and we’re seeking candidates for four seats.
The council meets monthly (for now, by Zoom), normally on the fourth Wednesday evening of the month. With the help of committees, the council makes recommendations to the city government on zoning, alcohol licenses, park plans, and other topics of neighborhood interest; communicates with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Edgewood College, the Police Department, and the zoo; and plans social events and service projects.
If you’re interested in serving on the VNA Council, know of someone who’d be a good council member, or have questions, please call or e-mail a member of the Nominating Committee:
